 Yvonne Cherry-Kropf

Amigos' owner and instructor, has made training for horse and rider a life-long mission. For 25 years she has been teaching riders of all ages in all disciplines.

Yvonne's equestrian knowlege and her talent for teaching are founded in her early 4-H and FFA experiences, then honed through participation in many workshops, lectures, seminars and clinics on teaching, safety and horsemanship. Yvonne has studied with nationally and internationally acclaimed instructors, has attended United States Dressage Federation Instructor Certification workshops and has obtained her credentials as a USEA certified Instructor Level 1 - Training.

Yvonnes's parents, Fred and Mary Cherry, were founding members of Las Cruces Horseman's Association and she and her sisters grew up competing in gymkhanas and rodeos. Yvonne has been the chairperson for the LCHA Hunter/Jumper Division for four years, organizing the division's show and clinics.

Over the years, Yvonne's students have competed successfully at LCHA competitions in Western and English disciplines, Southwestern Quarterhorse shows, regional dressage shows and US Eventing Association Area 10 competitions
